Integrate Gorgias With AfterShip Returns
Overview
After getting their return request approved, shoppers generally have queries related to refund, delays, etc. For brands, it is imperative to provide customer with swift resolution to their queries.
AfterShip Returns can be integrated with Gorgias, a multichannel customer service platform to quickly respond to customer service requests regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges.

Set up Gorgias helpdesk
- Sign up for a Gorgias account (if you don't have one)
- Set up your helpdesk
- Input URL of your website
- Decide and input URL of your helpdesk
- Click Create your helpdesk to finish setting up your Gorgias helpdesk
Integrate Gorgias with AfterShip Returns
You can access Gorgias integration page in two ways
- Go to ** Apps ** in the AfterShip Returns admin
- Click View more apps in the upper right-hand corner
- Search Gorgias, click on it and you will land on the ** Gorgias ** integration page
or,
- Navigate to the ** Gorgias ** integration page on AfterShip Returns website directly
- Select AfterShip Returns from the dropdown and then click Install app
- Select the right organization (online store) if you have multiple organizations configured in AfterShip Returns (Optional) for which you are establishing this integration
- Input your Gorgias store name formatted as {brandname.gorgias.com} in the Store name field
- Click on Install app
- Authorize Gorgias to read and access your account data
How would I know the connection has been established successfully?
- Go to ** My Apps ** under App store in your Gorgias account to check if AfterShip Returns is connected successfully.
Optional configurations
After connecting your AfterShip Returns Center account with Gorgias, you need to perform these minor actions:
1. Connect your Shopify store
- Connect your Shopify store: Go to APP STORE > All apps in your Gorgias account
- Choose or search Shopify. Click on it to open the main integration page
- Click Connect Shopify > Add app. Select the store which you'd like to connect Gorgias with
- Read through the privacy and permission details and click Install app
2. Verify and connect your email
Email verification allows you to ensure maximum deliverability over your emails, as well as prevent misuse of your email domain.

Merchant experience
Once the connection is established, your customer service team can easily access customer order information whenever they check tickets.
On the right-hand sidebar, you can see the following details.
- Order number
- RMA number
- Status
- Resolution type
- Refund value
- Return method
- Currency
- Return reason
- Blocked customers' details (Make sure you add the customer to your blocklist first)
