How to Auto-approve Return Requests

Overview


AfterShip Returns allows you to auto-approve return requests to speed up the processing of the return requests. RMAs can be approved automatically for all return shipping methods based on specific countries or regions.


Follow the article to enable Auto-approval for AfterShip Returns’ supported shipping methods, including Ship with a return label, Ship with the carrier customers choose, Return to a retail store, and Green returns.


Enable auto-approval for RMA


  1. Go to Return Policy > Return routing rules in the AfterShip Returns admin.
  2. Select the Return zone for which you want to enable auto-approval.
  3. Click the {...} icon and select Edit rule.



  1. Move to the Return shipping methods section.


  • For each shipping method, you get the option of Auto-approval.
  • Select the checkbox for Auto-approval to approve the return request submitted by customers through the returns portal automatically



  • For Ship with a return label shipping method, it is imperative that you also set up carriers and warehouse locations and enable auto-generate return labels for requests to be approved automatically


  1. Once you tick the checkbox for Auto-approval, hit Save.
